Selling is not something you do to someone else.
In fact, the more you try to do that, the less successful you’ll be.
Selling is helping someone make a decision which works for them. You can’t make them buy from you - not really, or consistently, or over any period of time. Or with any joy.
The service you provide, or product you offer, must help them be more, do more, feel better.
It’s not about you. It’s about them.
If you’re hosting an event or writing a website or meeting someone today, don’t sell at them.
As the great Zig Ziglar taught, we have two ears and one mouth. Use proportionally.
